Peggy McColl And Gay Hendricks Announce A New Resource For Authors
Two bestselling authors and leaders in the publishing field, Gay Hendricks and Peggy McColl, announced today the launch of a new resource for authors: The Center For Integrity In Marketing. The Center will offer a comprehensive program to help authors get published and market their books with integrity in a field that is changing every day. The new partnership between McColl and Hendricks has an international flavor: McColl is Canadian and Hendricks is a U.S. citizen.
Both founders come by their publishing expertise the old-fashioned way: Gay Hendricks is the author of more than thirty books over the past four decades, including such NY Times bestsellers as Five Wishes and Conscious Loving (co-authored with his wife, Dr. Kathlyn Hendricks.) Peggy McColl is the author of eight bestsellers, including Your Destiny Switch and Viral Explosions. She has also guided the book launches of dozens of major figures in the self-help, spirituality and transformation genres, including Jack Canfield, Neale Donald Walsch and many others. McColl makes her home near Ottawa, Canada; Hendricks lives in Southern California.
Hendricks says, “I am thrilled to be partnering with Peggy McColl on this new service. Peggy is the most respected expert in the world on helping authors get published and turn their books into bestsellers. It’s an honor and privilege to be teaming up with the person who is recognized as the industry standard for excellence.”
Peggy McColl echoes his enthusiasm: “Gay is widely known for the relationship work he and Katie have developed, but what many people don’t know is that during the past ten years Gay has guided approximately 80 authors through all phases of the publishing process. With the combination of his tools and concepts and the techniques I’ve developed, we can offer a truly unique and comprehensive program. In addition, between the two of us we’re friends with key people in all the major publishers such as Harper and Hay House, as well as knowing many of the top agents and media people. Sometimes knowing just the right person can save a lot of effort on an author’s part.”
“Our intention is to free authors from the confusion, expense and drudgery of publishing and marketing their books. Authors can then put all their energy into what they’re best at—writing books that make a real difference in people’s lives.”
Between them, Hendricks and McColl have coached more than two hundred authors through all phases of the publishing process, from completing the manuscript to getting an agent to launching it onto the charts. McColl says, “Whether it’s one of my own eight books or the hundreds of books my clients have produced, my attitude is the same: I want the book to touch as many lives as it possibly can. The authors we work with have a passion to get their book launched into the world but may not have the resources they need to navigate the world of publishing. In our program, authors focus on what they’re best at, and the program does the heavy-lifting for them.”
Gay Hendricks adds, “Publishing has changed more in the past five years than it has in the past hundred years. And this past year it’s changed more than in all the past five years put together! If you don’t know the ins and outs of what’s working now, you can waste a lot of time and money in the process of trying to get your book published. Here’s where the issue of integrity really becomes so important: Authors need a special kind of marketing that comes from the heart and is done with impeccable integrity. That’s hard to find in the world today, and that’s why we have come together to create The Center For Integrity In Marketing.”
Hendricks also has a personal reason for his enthusiasm for McColl’s work: “Peggy and her team helped launch my book, Five Wishes, onto the coveted NY Times bestseller list as well as to #1 on Amazon. The biggest thrill was seeing on Amazon when my book jumped over a Harry Potter book into the #1 spot! I’ll always have Peggy to thank for that, and that’s another reason I’m so delighted that we are bringing the forces of our two approaches together.”
